FLUSHING NOTICE: Birch Hill Water System
The Dutchess County Water and Wastewater Authority announced today that the water distribution system in the: Birch Hill Water System will be flushed according to the below schedule:
Hydrants/mains will be flushed during the following period:
Period Start: Wednesday, May 14, 2025
Period End: Wednesday, May 14, 2025
Customers can expect flushing of water mains to take place between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Flushing of the distribution system is done periodically to improve conditions within the pipes. While the pipes are being flushed, customers may experience turbidity and discoloration of their water. Customers are also advised to not run the water for 2-3 hours after flushing and to avoid washing clothes on that day.
