DISCUSSION:
Quiet weather and cloudy skies will continue into this evening as a storm system approaches from the west. While the heavy snow with this storm will stay well south, the northernmost fringe of precipitation may graze the region with snow showers tonight. The threat for snow showers will begin late this evening and continue through late tonight with a coating of snow possible. High pressure will bring a return to quiet weather for Wednesday.
The next statement will be sent around 8am Wednesday, unless conditions change.
GENERAL WEATHER AFTER THE EVENT:
The next storm will quickly approach on Wednesday night with a wintry mix to rain. Accumulations will be minor with up to 1 inch possible before the change to rain prior to daybreak on Thursday. Rain showers end on Thursday before windy and colder conditions return for Thursday night and Friday.
NEXT STORM THREAT:
A large storm system may bring a wintry mix and rain on Saturday and Sunday.

Weak high pressure will bring dry weather through this afternoon. An area of low pressure passing south of the region will bring the threat of snow showers this evening into late tonight, with light snow accumulations possible. Dry weather will return for Wednesday before another area of low pressure brings a chance of snow Wednesday evening which will mix with and change to sleet, freezing rain, and rain Wednesday night into Thursday afternoon with the potential for more light snow accumulations. High pressure will bring a return to dry weather for Friday through Saturday morning. An area of low pressure may then bring a chance of rain and snow showers Saturday afternoon into Sunday.
